Ordering tape with your logo should end with a usable carton seal, not just an attractive screen preview. BrandTapeCo’s current online product is water-activated kraft paper packing tape for corrugated shipping boxes. You can configure a five-roll minimum per design and color, then approve a separate digital production proof before printing. This guide walks through the decisions that matter before checkout.
1. Check that the tape suits your packing process
This is paper tape with an adhesive that must be activated with water. It is not pressure-sensitive plastic tape for an ordinary tape gun. Before ordering, confirm that your packing station has a compatible water-activated tape dispenser and that the tape is intended for the corrugated cartons you actually ship. If you are switching from another material, test the application method on representative boxes.
2. Choose the material, width and print option
The current online product page offers standard or reinforced kraft paper in 48 mm (1.89 in) or 60 mm (2.36 in) width. Each roll is 50 m (164 ft) long. The print choices are one color, two colors or full color. The minimum is five rolls for each design/color configuration.
| Decision | What to check before selecting it |
|---|---|
| Standard or reinforced kraft | Carton weight, handling route and whether extra tear resistance is needed. Test demanding applications rather than relying on a generic claim. |
| 48 or 60 mm | Seam coverage on your real cartons, readability of the printed logo and dispenser compatibility. |
| Print option | How many distinct colors the artwork needs and whether a simplified logo would remain clearer on kraft paper. |
| Quantity | At least five rolls per design/color; estimate consumption from the boxes you pack, not from a guess about orders per roll. |
Other widths, including 72 mm, are not available as a custom exception. If you need a roll length other than 50 m, contact sales with the specification and quantity for a feasibility review and separate written quotation. Do not assume that a nonstandard length has the same price or production schedule as an online configuration.
3. Prepare artwork that can be checked at actual size
Use the final logo version and decide which way it should read along the strip. Remove lettering that becomes illegible when the artwork is reduced to the selected tape width. If a brand color must be matched, provide a clear color reference and ask what can be confirmed for the chosen print process; a screen image is not a color-accurate printed sample.
The online tool accepts a PNG or JPG for an instant visual preview and accepts PDF as production artwork. The product page states a 10 MB file limit and that white-only logos are not supported. Save the file you submit and give it an unambiguous name so corrections can be traced to the right version.
4. Treat the online preview and the production proof differently
After uploading a logo, the on-screen preview shows a visual reference for the repeated design. It is not the final production proof and it is not a physical printed sample. BrandTapeCo provides a digital production proof for approval before printing; physical printed samples, where available, are quoted separately.
Check the proof at the selected width. Verify the spelling, orientation, repeat, safe space near the edges, intended print option and the selected material. If anything is wrong, request a corrected proof before approving it. Keep one person responsible for the final sign-off; conflicting approvals are an avoidable source of delay.
5. Calculate the actual order, not just the unit price
At the time of this check, the product page lists standard-kraft, one-color tape at $19.99 per 48 mm roll or $23.99 per 60 mm roll. Five rolls therefore have a product subtotal of $99.95 or $119.95 respectively, before shipping and applicable taxes. Two-color or full-color printing adds $2 per roll, and reinforced kraft adds $3 per roll according to the current USD product listing. Select the actual configuration and check the live checkout total, because prices and currency can change.
If you need a larger or recurring supply, compare the online total with a volume quotation for the same material, width, length, artwork and destination. A lower unit quote is not directly comparable if the roll length, shipping terms or proof process differ.
6. Plan from proof approval to arrival
The product page says artwork proof preparation is typically planned for about one business day after the order and usable artwork are received. Production is typically 5–7 business days after the digital proof is approved, subject to the confirmed specification and schedule. Shipping begins after production; transit depends on the destination. These are separate stages, not a promise that a parcel will arrive 5–7 days after payment.
If the tape is needed for a product launch, send the full destination and required arrival date before relying on any estimate. Leave time for artwork corrections, proof review, shipping and local delivery steps. See order and shipping information for the current process.
