Two custom tape quotes are comparable only when they describe the same order. Before judging the price per roll, check the material, width, length, printing, minimum quantity, artwork approval and delivery terms. A cheaper roll can cost more to use if it is shorter, requires a larger order or excludes shipping.
Start with one specification for every supplier
Send the same brief to each supplier: the carton material and seam you need to seal, your packing method, the artwork file, estimated quantity and delivery destination. Ask them to state every proposed specification on the quote. Do not assume a photograph or product name establishes the roll size or adhesive.
BrandTapeCo’s current online product is water-activated paper tape in standard or reinforced kraft, 48 mm or 60 mm wide, with 50 m per roll. The online minimum is five rolls for each selected design and color configuration. Other widths, including 72 mm, are not available. A different roll length or a volume order needs a separate feasibility review and written quotation; it is not another standard online choice.

Compare the delivered cost, not just the roll price
For each comparable offer, record the full order total: tape and printing, any artwork or setup charge, shipping and applicable taxes. Then divide that total by the number of rolls. If roll lengths differ, also divide by the total metres supplied. Both calculations are useful; neither tells you how many cartons you can seal without a trial on your own packing line.
For example, do not compare a 50 m roll with a shorter roll only by its unit price. First make the widths and materials comparable, then calculate delivered total ÷ (roll count × metres per roll). Keep the currency and tax basis the same. This is a comparison method, not a prediction of any supplier’s actual quote.

Does a lower price per roll mean a better deal?
Not necessarily. Check the material, width, length and quantity first, then compare the delivered total. Test application on your own cartons before committing to a larger reorder.
Does the five-roll minimum apply to two different logos together?
The current online minimum is five rolls per selected design and color configuration. If you need two designs, check each configuration’s quantity in the cart or request a written quotation.
Is production time the same as delivery time?
No. The typical 5–7-business-day production window starts after proof approval, and shipping is additional. Ask for the complete order-specific schedule if you have a deadline.
