A tape that works at one packing station is a starting point, not a complete rollout. Different dispensers, box mixes and operator habits can produce different seals. Define one approved tape specification and application method, then check each station against that baseline before declaring the change complete.
Build the rollout baseline
Record material (kraft or reinforced kraft), offered custom width (48 mm or 60 mm), 50 m standard roll, approved artwork, dispenser model and the cartons included in the initial trial. No custom width outside 48 mm or 60 mm is available. Use the equipment manufacturer’s manual for settings and maintenance; do not copy a wetting value from a different machine.
Check every station
| Station item | Pass to rollout only when |
|---|---|
| Roll and dispenser | The selected width feeds and cuts on that specific machine. |
| Carton mix | Representative boxes have been trialled at the station. |
| Operator sequence | Staff can demonstrate feed, activation, placement and inspection consistently. |
| Visible issues | Lifting, wrinkles and board damage have a documented escalation path. |
| Record owner | A named lead maintains the approved version and exceptions. |
Do not average away a problem on one machine because other stations look good. Log the dispenser, carton and shift where the issue appeared, then test one variable at a time. The troubleshooting guide gives a cause-isolation method; the operator training guide helps transfer the approved method.
Control changes after launch
When the board supplier, tape construction, artwork, roll requirement or dispenser changes, update the station instruction and decide which cartons need retesting. Keep an approval date and version number so an old printout is not mistaken for current practice. A new station joins only after its own compatibility check.
BrandTapeCo’s standard online minimum is five 50 m rolls per design and color configuration. Any different roll length is subject to a sales feasibility review and separate written quotation; feasibility is not promised. Use the live product options when ordering the approved rollout specification.
