“Use our brand green” is not a production-ready color instruction. A digital image depends on the screen, while printed color depends on the artwork, ink process and kraft or reinforced kraft substrate. Send a named reference and approve the supplier’s proof for the actual tape configuration; do not promise an exact match without product-specific evidence.
Give the supplier one color source of truth
Identify the approved brand color reference, its source file or code, and any physical sample the team uses internally. State whether the reference is a target or a strict requirement. Keep the chosen paper construction, 48 mm or 60 mm custom width and artwork version in the same request so a color discussion is not separated from the product being printed.
Review the proof in context
- Ask the supplier which proof or sample is available for the order and what it can demonstrate. A screen proof may confirm layout and references but not the exact appearance of ink on paper.
- Look at the logo and text at actual tape width. Fine light text on kraft may be harder to read than in a white-background digital mock-up.
- Check how the printed repeat looks across a normal cut and over the real carton seam.
- Record any accepted difference or unresolved question in writing before final approval. Do not let multiple reviewers approve different versions.

BrandTapeCo custom widths are 48 mm and 60 mm only. The standard online roll is 50 m, with at least five rolls per design and color configuration. A different roll length requires sales feasibility review and a separate written quote and may not be available. Check the live product options before approving the order.
