A usable packing-tape roll specification should let someone else reorder the same product without guessing what “the usual tape” meant. For BrandTapeCo’s online custom-printed water-activated kraft tape, the starting choices are 48 mm or 60 mm wide, 50 m per roll, and a minimum of five rolls for each design and color configuration. Other widths, including 72 mm, are not available.
Use the checklist below before paying or sending artwork. It separates details you can select online from details that need confirmation for your own carton and equipment.
Record the five fields that define the roll

Check the dispenser and carton separately
Measure the carton seam and test a cut strip on the corrugated board you actually use. A wider strip can give more overlap on a broad seam, but “wider” does not automatically mean a reliable seal. Board coating, dust, moisture application, strip length and handling all matter. If your carton changes, repeat the check.
For equipment, record the dispenser make and model and check its supported tape width, roll diameter and core size against the roll you intend to buy. Those dispenser dimensions are not specified by the width alone. Ask for confirmation when your equipment requirements are restrictive; do not assume that a 48 mm or 60 mm roll fits every machine.
Calculate an order estimate without pretending there is no waste
For planning only, divide the 50 m roll length by the length of one cut strip. If a packing station cuts 0.5 m strips, the theoretical maximum is 100 strips per roll, or 500 across five rolls. That is arithmetic, not a promise of 500 completed boxes: setup, trimming, resealing and the number of strips per box reduce the real yield. Time a short packing trial and record actual consumption before a larger reorder.
Keep the buying unit consistent. A five-roll order at 50 m per roll contains a nominal 250 m of tape; a quote for a different length or quantity is not directly comparable by price per roll. Include printing options, shipping and any separately quoted changes when you compare total cost.

If the required width is neither 48 mm nor 60 mm, this product is not the right specification; sales cannot quote another width as a custom exception. If only the roll length differs from 50 m, ask sales about feasibility and price before treating it as orderable. A bespoke one-roll request may cost more than an entire standard five-roll order, so compare the complete written offers rather than assuming a smaller quantity is cheaper.
